ABOUT
Garden Acres Mutual Water Company was established in November 7, 1929 to serve the Nyeland Acres community.
The mission of GAMWC is to deliver water fairly, impartially, and equitably among and to its qualified stockholders desiring water for their exclusive use within the district established by the Bylaws.

Mike Barber
General Manager
Mike has lived in Nyeland Acres since the early ‘70s and became the General Manager of Garden Acres Mutual Water Company in 1982. He is a retired Ironworker and is best known for rescuing the Santa statue from Carpinteria and relocated him to Nyeland Acres.
Mike Barber is the Treasurer for the Oxnard College Foundation and works diligently to encourage Nyeland Acres children to attend Oxnard College.
Mike Barber sits on the Board of Directors for the Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme Boys and Girls Club and provides support to the Nyeland Center.

Tim Lewsadder
Well Operator
Timothy Lewsadder is a dedicated water utility operator with a strong background in various aspects of water management. He began his career by volunteering for the Montecito Water District in 2017, contributing to efforts during the Thomas Fire and Montecito mudslide. Timothy has gained extensive experience working for major wholesale water districts in Ventura County, United Water Conservation District and Calleguas. His expertise encompasses underground water utility work, water distribution, water treatment, and advanced water treatment. He had the privilege of commissioning the Camarillo desalter plant and being the operator in charge who first sent water to the city distribution line.
Currently, Timothy operates SoCal Water Pro, a company that services water mutuals, farms, industrial processes, and provides backflow testing. He is certified with the State Water Resource Control Board as a Class Distribution 3 and Class Treatment 2 operator, and is also a Ventura County certified backflow tester.

Mary Anne Rooney
Business Manager
Mary Anne handles the business related duties for GAMWC, including meter reading, billing, change in ownership.
